...a neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sense produces an automatic, involuntary impression in another sense.

SYNESTHESIA

A collection of clothing inspired by architecture, Synesthesia seeks to explore concepts of tensile structure as employed in everything from suspension bridges to ladies' Victorian underpinnings. 
Exhibited in Somerville in 2008 as part of a live multimedia fashion rock art show produced by the New Factographers, a Boston area artist collective, this colorless body of work was designed to be the tabula rasa upon which artist Nick van der Kolk's short video Arterial was projected.
